Doesn't help that I HATED the pleasedness with which People Who Knew celebrated "Getting One Over on the Authorities" so much with this fairly feeble novelty hit (it's like the Rebel Posture the spliff-caffs in Amsterdam throw: bogus and yukky): so of course — as I often do — I now feel guilty about my former Righteous Dislike.

I have their very first single.
No, not "dutchie"
It looks like their music teacher wrote a song, sung it, and taught the kids how to play it on the guitars/drums/bass/keyboard, as part of a school project.
It's not terribly good, but it's quite sad in that they were probably dead chuffed to have made it at the time. It's on some indie label, I forget which right now.
Then, a year later, "Pass the", and getting signed to MCA records, etc...
