Mash ups S & D

I just discovered 2 Many DJs, and the perpetual smile has not left my face. And so I find that there's a huge movement of people who do this type of thing, and once again I'm late to it, but still, what's the best? The Smells Like Teen Spirit/Bootylicous was nothing short of genius.

there's no accounting for taste with bootlegs - people like them according to varying factors such as which tracks are used and whether they like/hate those tracks, or how well the mix is executed and how imaginative the method is, use of editing and effects etc.

some of the most popular boots come from the following people, all were plugged gratuitously on the currently inactive http://www.boomselection.info website:

Freelance Hellraiser
Frenchbloke & SonOf
Kurtis Rush
Soulwax/2 Many DJs/Flying Dewale Brothers
Kid 606
Go Home Prouctions
Dsico

see http://www.base58.com/bsx for a rough guide to the phenomenon

my personal favourite was one of frenchblokes. mixing missys she's a bitch with alles es passierte by andreas doreau. purely cos it works perfectly as a song in it's own right without any kitsch appeal.

Well known, but this still holds up as one of the mashups that improves on its sources.

eight years pass...

That Donna Summer "Bad Girls" mixed with Danzig's "Mother" is awesome.

Danzig should have been a disco singer.
