SSIA.... The Mumps

Strike another one up for PBS. Last night i was watching a doc-piece on the last days of the American Family's Lance Loud (as well as a vintage episode) and saw my first peek at The Mumps. I only heard a little bit and they looked (and sounded) worthy of further investigation so i ordered Fatal Charm (which looks to be the entirety of their recorded career). AMG rights them up pretty strongly but an ILM search revealed nary a single post -- so -- here's your first chance to say something interesting about... The Mumps.

the Mumps were decent, but not great. More in the vein of the Max's Kansas City ha ha ha NYC punk like Wayne/Jayne County.

Arthur to thread! And thanks for that collection you burned for me all that time ago!

I saw them a few times. They were pretty good live, Lance was entertaining as Hell. "Crocodile Tears" was my favorite, I still have the 45!

I've written up Kristian Hoffman at AMG, and want to actually hear some Mumps now. I know Arthur sent me a mix but I forget whether there was Mumps on there, because I'm a big doofus.

"Crocodile Tears" is on the "New York punk" installment of the Rhino DIY series. That's really all I know of their music.

Where is Arthur and can I have a mix too please?
