have just d/l'ed the Delgados cover of this and really love it (it's done in the style of 13 Gliding Principles, all overdriven and stuff, and as such is obviously smashing beyond all know bounds...), but Soulseek is only throwing up Dave Matthews Band when i hunt the original. Is it worth it?

DMB are never worth it.

It's an old Cat Stevens song...and a classic, I reckon

his best song. spiritually it is pure early 1967, the sound of the Bournemouth electrification.

Never heard the Delgados cover of it (and am summarily intrigued), but the Cat Stevens original is completely great, complete with its game-showy "Love American Style" horn section fills.

The Chills did it, too. Might've been a Peel session or something.

Is this the one that goes 'Matthew & Son, The work's never done'?

If so, someone I used to work with (who has since retired) always used to sing it when I was on t' internet instead of doing my job (much like right now).

Inspired the Shankar violin line on "The Cutter," therefore classic.
