Chronic Town by R.E.M. (which I still say is the best thing they ever did) or Budakhan Mindphone by Squarepusher

Lynskey (Lynskey), Friday, 10 January 2003 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Slates wins it. Although if somebody else nominated _Read & Burn 01_ I'd probably get behind that.

Douglas (Douglas), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Read & Burn 01... oh sorry I mean:

The Patty Patty Sound - Beta Band

Vitalic-The Poney EP you mugs!

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Svefn-g-Englar, is it a single or an ep? I can probably do better but all I can think of right now is Metal Cirus by Hüsker Dü.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Friday, 10 January 2003 15:07 (twenty-two years ago)

michael wells OPO. fool ;)
(Poney came a close second)

Macattack (Macattack), Friday, 10 January 2003 15:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Or is it the Boredoms' Super Roots?

o. nate (onate), Friday, 10 January 2003 15:48 (twenty-two years ago)

macattack, that emoticon saved you a beatdown.

michael wells (michael w.), Friday, 10 January 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd have to go with the VOM ep with "I'm in love with your mom" and "too animalistic" on it. much play.

matt riedl (veal), Friday, 10 January 2003 21:17 (twenty-two years ago)

words with the shaman

bahtology, Saturday, 11 January 2003 23:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Gaunt "sob story". their best record and a fine use of the EP format.

chad (chad), Saturday, 11 January 2003 23:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Ride - "Today Forever"

Best thing they ever did, really. Not to mention, the video EP that went with it... ROWR!

she said it. absolutely faultless in every way.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Friday, 24 December 2004 10:01 (twenty years ago)

I still get out my copy of The Breeders: Safari every now and again, so I'll say that. I'm afraid I haven't played Today Forever in its entirety in about 12 years. If the Pinefox reads this he'll come round and make me remedy that.

Yes to the Jim O'Rourke 12" too. If this was OPXII, I'd go for the raster-noton 20' to 2000 set.
