I want to burn a CD (just bought a burner today) of lots of amazing new pop/glitch/indie/hip-hop/whateverr stuff - amazingly for 2002, my PC doesn't have sound (don't ask) - so I have to download something *and* burn it in order to hear it.
Just to give you some context, I've already downloaded Tatu's first one and that Big Brovaz tune, just out of interest, but each one takes at least 20 MINUTES to download, so please filter judiciously!
What am I missing from the US/UK/anywhwere else? Christ, I've not even heard Work It yet so I guess that's a start...
Tips? Anything? Check out my blog for vague pointers as to what I'm after - get me up-to-date, kids!

and yes, I already have the interpol album.
also, any ideas why slsk doesn't like my PC? I have windows 95, is that a problem? I downloaded the .exe but it said "a required .dll file, ws2_32.dll, was not found" - help!
I'm very interested in RJD2...

and if you like him you just can't ignore the Shadow - 'The Private Press' is not as much of a disappointment as most people claim, in reality.
charlie you probably should update your Windows OS if you can...XP ideally, assuming your archaic-sounding PC can handle it (no offence ;)

Yeah, i need a new PC, frankly, but cash will not permit - we literally found this one on the street in Sydney! I'd love XP of course, but...well, that costs money, right? Goddamn money, I hate it.
I've given up on slsk for the time being - imesh seems to br bringing up most of what i'm after.
Yep, got The Private Press and love it loads - no idea why everyone slagged it, really...it's almost a pop record! And that suits me juuust fine.
ps. search Arling & Cameron - aussie electro inexplicably released on Emperor Norton but v cool.

And just what is the story behind the video for it? Who made it, for a start? It's GRATE, like some VIC20 game, or something.

it would appear I've been misinformed. You're absolutely right, they're Dutch. Doesn't make them any less good tho, and I just found out they've written for Pizzicato Five and Fantastic Plastic Machine, which ups the ante still further!
