It exists! The thin white duke remix of Danger! High Voltage!

Kinda similar to the Silver Screen Shower Scene remix but maybe not quite so epic. Having said that it fulfills one of mans most primal desires, to scream "FIRE IN THE DISCO" after a long siren style breakdown and just as the beat comes back.

This is on the single as far as I know, if you buy the right copy.

What really matters is if Bowie actually did the mix. ;-)

No it seems Jacques Lu Cont/Les Rhythmes Digitales has robbed that pseudonym.

It's on the vinyl too.

john kennedy just played this version on Xfm.

Only 1 hour to go to find out if this strange track gets to Number 1 or 2 in the UK Top 40 singles chart.

JLC has been playing this a bit recently... its kinda cool, but I can't help thinking that it would be a much better record without the Danger! High Voltage samples, which don't really seem to fit.

Jacques Lu Cont/Les Rhythmes Digitales makes me think of 2ManyDJs (and gag - which could be due to my headache but... ah well I was nevah a really BIG 2manydjs fan)

one month passes...
I think this needs to be bought for the home stereo to really get the kick out of it, oddly, I stuck it on the other day after buying it and was more blown away than anytime I've heard it in a club. It's similar to Vitalic I think in alot of ways, and really despite my jokey tone when I say there is nothing like shouting "fire in the disco" at that final static climax, THERE IS NOTHING LIKE SHOUTING FIRE IN THE DISCO AT THE END OF THAT FINAL STATIC CLIMAX. It's really fucking special.

I didn't like it so much. But then I was heard to remark that the fuzz guitars added to the chorus of the original versh "ruined" it so I'm not exactly open-minded I guess.
