since I tend to only say "indiepop" if the band is incapable of rocking, I'll vote for indierock. but neither is any indication the band is actually good.

Indierock bands make indiepop tunes on occasion, but indiepop bands are *incapable* of making indierock.

I can't choose between them though. *adjusts trousers* This fence is very uncomfortable.

Isn't 'indiepop' an oxymoron? Or do you mean 'obscure bands who make a sound kind of like stuff they hear that is actually popular'?
