Douglas Mosurak (mosurock), Monday, 13 January 2003 06:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Fucking Buffalo reunion.

Is David Tice still alive?

This may be somewhat surprising, but I think one of the bands for the Malkmus one will be The Fall. I know, I know. Here's a chinrest for all your dropped jaws.

Wow. I'm stunned. Echo and the Bunnymen as well from Our Steve? I saw one of the last ever Pavement gigs in Liverpool and they finished the set with "The Killing Moon". Malkmus was visibly pissed off that very few people in the audience knew the song, having to explain to a bunch of Liverpudlians who they were. Even then most just shrugged. Fucking students.

Hmmm, not as interesting a line up as I hoped it would be, looks more like a "greatest hits" of previous ATP line-ups, but a cut-price one that you find at a service station which misses out all your favourites.

yay, Cameron Jamie ! I saw one of his video works by chance a couple years ago - I didn't know who he was - and it was the funniest/most enjoyable thing ever, forty-five minutes of cable access shows, every one of them utterly insane. it was at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, so I picked up a copy of this supercool French language description of each item, which includes gems like 'les freres Vomi se filment vomissant en differents lieux' - 'the Vomit Brothers film themselves vomiting in different places.' he is top.

yeah when i heard it was matt groening curating i thought it sounded like a good idea, from a "i'd be curious to see what he'd pick" point of view, but then when you see the line up,you just think "oh yeah, obviously that's what he'd pick"
doesn't bother me though,i live in ireland
