Bunch shitty old records

I have a bunch of shitty old records to get rid of .. most of them are 78s of milquetoast jazz, some are 33s of milquetoast jazz .. I hate to put things into a landfill - any ideas on how to dispose of them? Anyone want them? (shipping would be a killer)

Are there any craft projects you can make out of old records? Maybe I could make a chair out of them ....

i can't believe you won't find lots of interested buyers for the 78s regardless of content - where are you geographically?

Middle of Ohio...

I don't want to put that much effort into finding them a good home ... but some of the 78s may be (slightly) valuable .. maybe just an antique store? .. Do people still buy them ?

A newspaper ad might get you some local interest, or you could give them to somebody young who's really interested in collecting records.

The 78 market is overestimated.

Tack the vinyl platters to your ceiling. It's a good look. Trust me.

I've heard that the 78 market is pretty slim. Most fo the people into that stuff are dead and even they have got into ahndier formats. The big collectable is stuff that came at the end of the 78's era like Elvis.
