The fact that these lists keep on coming is more annoying than their content as perhaps the thread title implies. Who cares what records changed the world, does anyone?

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 09:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Not Q I suspect.

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:03 (twenty-two years ago)

the world hasn't changed since 1985.

never consciously heard "that's all right",surely its not his most famous song?
was it the first that was on tv or something?

robin (robin), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

First single release.

The list is the top 10 of an 100 - they didnt give the full list but they did give the 90s records, it's on Ananova.

You'll all be laughing on the other side of your face when Saddam is crushed under the weight of a shipload of unwanted Libertines singles.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:10 (twenty-two years ago)

What no 'Mary Had a Little Lamb'?

(Thomas Edison's first record ever.)

James Ball (James Ball), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I've not heard 3 of them.

Songs cannot change the world. They can only change the way in which you walk through the world.

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I second Marcello. Walk This Way makes me swagger like a gay spaceman through the world, for example.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 14 January 2003 10:42 (twenty-two years ago)

it's one of these special editions, it's not part of
the mag.
special in that it costs 6 quid instead of 3.
to be fair the one
about album covers was f*ckin brilliant.

piscesboy, Tuesday, 14 January 2003 16:39 (twenty-two years ago)

To be fair, the price seems to keep going up, the number of pages in 'em seem to keep coming down, and the number of issues of this supposedly "monthly" magazine now seems to be running at about 15 Per Annum (has anyone else noticed that we now have an extra month, apparently called "Summer"?).
