taking sides: juice crew vs. wu-tang fam

usually i try and gently push responses away from the direction that i think they'll be going by pointing out something in my question, but this time i have no clue at all what people will say. it's up to you, the entire juice crew (even debbie d.) vs. wu and all affiliates (even, ugh, remedy). rza worships marley marl, you know. who doesn't?

ethan, you seem determined to top yourself for the title of "least responses to a thread." what's next? "trendz of culture: classic or dud"?

anyway, juice crew on a singles basis, wu-tang for albums. mc for mc, at their peak, i think the juice crew could've taken the wu, pretty handily too.

oh yeah, the juice crew are like, so obscure and stuff. fuck, i bet everyone here owns at least one biz markie album, and mark pitchfork is always babbling about roxanne shante in some thread. you wait and see, this will be the most popular thread ever, even more than that courtney love one that had a picture of alf in it.

as for trendz of culture, they're so classic it would be meaningless to start a thread confirming the obvious. valley of the skinz was your jam and you know it.

I don't own a Biz Markie album, but that has more to do with laziness than anything else.

These days, I'd be much more likely to get a Wu- Tang album, mostly because Method Man is my dawg, yo.

eleven months pass...
remember back when solinger was the only one who ever actually answered my threads?

ethan, Tuesday, 28 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

that's why you stopped posting hip-hop threads yes?
