Of the three reunion albums, I like this one the best if only because I think they're finally used to the idea that they're never going to replace Pete DeFreitas. The eighties existence will never be paralleled at this rate, but it's an enjoyable enough listen.

The Fountain is the forthcoming eleventh studio album by British band Echo & the Bunnymen. The album is being produced by John McLaughlin, and Coldplay singer Chris Martin has collaborated with the band on one of the album's tracks. The first single from the album, "Think I Need It Too", is now scheduled for release on September 28th 2009. The Fountain will be released on October 12th, 2009.

I picked up the first reunion album, "Evergreen", and it has it's moments but it simply couldn't stand up to their first 5 albums. I stopped paying attention at that point, I imagine each album has had some worthwhile tracks but Mac's best days seem far behind him.
