Okay, the Onion says its the A-Teens album of note for note Abba covers. But what do you think is the most inessential album of 2000. Familiar To Millions by Oasis is my pick, closely followed by Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants.

Kings of Convenience

MACHINA II (not just 2), but only because Familiar to Millions was already mentioned.

What's wrong with the A-Teens record? I think it knocks Skat Kat out of the park. Yes, I've heard both.

Any piece of shit by Queens of the Stone Age. Or At the Drive In.

For some reason I continue to feel that I should like Grandaddy more than I do but their schtick just never seems to work as everyone says it does. When I put on 'The Sophtware Slump' I forget about it within a secound. When it's finished I can't remember a thing. That screams inessential to me.

So I guess inessential is totally different than just bad...okay, inessential would be Beatles 1s. If you HAVEN'T A) heard and then B) bought if you liked these songs ALREADY from one of the other 10,000 compilations the Beatles have put out, then you really are a bit sad. I mean, honestly.

Ally, superb call on the Beatles' "1."

Also see Christina Aguilera's spanish album... especially considering she doesn't speak spanish and then suddenly decided to become a mouthpiece for an entire RACE.

You could add Christina's Christmas album to that list as well, considering how poorly it's sold and how little airplay her Christmas songs have gotten next to Britney's one Christmas song. Christina Aguilera: just plain inessential.

Coldplay - Parachutes, by far the most overrated album in 2000

three weeks pass...
I actually had to listen to Everlast's "Eat at Whitey's" several times to write a review of it and almost clawed my eyes out with my salad fork. Should have gone for the ears first, I suppose..

two months pass...
sorry but Grandaddy is my band. For years I have liked them and Im happy that they broke into somewhat success. I do agree that The Sophtware Slump isn't a 10 due to many things but it's great. far from horrid. And the worst has to go to Oasis overall.
