I'm thinking of getting this album... is it worth it?

No. But I'm tired of the style itself, really. As far as the music on this album goes, it's all right. Better than Thievery Corp on several points.

No, don't get it. I agree with Millar. Download it or copy it. I got tired of this one really quick.

Pleasant enough, but hardly fantastic.

I've got their album 'Sons of Koop' from quite a while back and it's rather good, if you like the idea of Bjork with less tunes but more noises. I didn't know they'd done another so I might have to check it out. But like others have said about 'Waltz for Koop' it was pleasent but not groundbreaking, one for going to sleep to rather than to wake up to.

Consensus then, it seems to be. :-)

I haven't heard this album yet, but "Sons of Koop" in 97 (was it 97 ?) was one of my favorite that year. I've had written a review of it for a webzine but, damned, I can't find it... (anyway, it was written in French).

three years pass...
maybe not 'groundbreaking,' but elegantly sexy I say. I love Waltz For Koop Here's a video from the forthcoming Koop album, Islands:
