Haysi Fantayzee-Battle Hymns for Children Singing. It's out on CD now! Or that Rezillos collection, if you don't have any Rezillos.

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Monday, 3 February 2003 02:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Ack!
Once again I fail to see the appeal of this newly hailed
hero. He's not singing, and he's not rapping - he's just
blurting it out in a toneless, arhythmic, and (to my ears)
unlistenable fashion.

Squirrel_Police, Monday, 3 February 2003 05:30 (twenty-two years ago)

back to the 'this is the thread for sad Streets-hataz' heresy with you trolly

stevem (blueski), Monday, 3 February 2003 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Smiley Culture

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Monday, 3 February 2003 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

rezillos, smiley culture, etc are amazing yes, but what about new stuff? anyway the extra yard comp sounds interesting ... and tell me more about the audio bullys

has anybody walked through the door opened by skinner yet? or is his talent so idiosyncratic that no-one else would fit thru it?

if he is the new specials, who are the new madness, beat & swinging polecats?

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Monday, 3 February 2003 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Audio Bullys get likened to The Streets because they have an MC spouting mockney commetary on city life - but their beats are tougher AND housier generally...the album offers some more squelchy electro-funk/hip hop beats tho too.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 3 February 2003 14:20 (twenty-two years ago)

John Cooper Clarke reissue?

felicity (felicity), Monday, 3 February 2003 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Keith totally owns this thread so far.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 3 February 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)
