Anyone heard this yet? Solo album from 1/2 of Kings of Convenience. I'm going to get slaughtered.

it's part produced by Metro Area, so the house-heads should be kind.

I have the singles, which are beautiful. Ghost Trains (my favourite) is the song produced by Morgan Geist from Metro Area, Symptom Of Disease was done with Finnish electro duo Mr Velcro Fastener and the new one Sudden Rush is a collaboration with Kompis, whom I don't know anything about. It's all very tasteful and tuneful. Øye has a dry and melancholic voice, which fits the electronic music beautifully.

It's the new electro-soul, it's coming.

(When did D'Angelo go all blue-eyed electro?)

(Anyway I was mostly being flip, but it does look like those pop-oriented people who are picking up on electro sounds are using them for a pretty mid-80s electrified blue-eyed soul kind of vibe, and the one new Oye track I've heard is very much in that vein. I'm waiting for an Oran Jones cover.)
