Saxophone player Mototeru Takagi died last month. I have a couple of really excellent recordings of him playing with guitarist Takayanagi's 'New directions' unit.

Huh. Never even heard the news about Takagi. Isolation is a total classic.

That guy (janitor from mars) is a buddy of mine. Did you see the Takayanagi show he did a few months ago? I'm v. envious of his japanese free jazz collection...

Well it wasn't totally a Takayanagi show, but it had about an hour long block of it... Some good stuff I'd never heard of before.
