damn, me too. the accused were a crucial foundational experience for me - i still get all nostalgic when i see body-art shops that have appropriated the accused's gorey, blood-dripping font for their neon "tattoo" signs. i broke my collarbone stage diving to an accused + GBH encore performance of "louis louis" (i think members of verbal abuse may have been onstage as well). i alienated most of my freshman peers when i suggested we retool "fucking for bucks" ("all you ugly ladies, you're in luck/ accused is fucking, / fucking for bux/ oral, or anal, or in your fucking box/ just pay us some cash when we pop out our rocks") as our dorm anthem.

and i wonder why i don't have more friends.

BRAD FIEDEL (composer) Jonathan let Jodie pick the music for the dancing scene before the rape. She chose Prince's song "Kiss." Usually rights are cleared ahead, but when we were almost done, they were mixing the film, and they could just not get Prince to give clearance for that song. They asked me to make a song, so Ross Levinson and I co-wrote the song, "I'm Talking Love." Over the years, I've gotten requests from fans for the song, and I don't believe it was ever released.
