If you've watched any live YouTube footage of Kleenex/Liliput then you know how amazing they were as a live band. If not you're in luck as this CD/DVD set is a testament to their greatness. The CD features two full live sets: Kleenex live in Biel in 1979 and Liliput live in Zurich in 1983, and they include some never before released songs. This is the sound of a world-class band in their prime. The DVD includes the much rumored about document of their European tour in 1982, Roadmovie, as well as live performances of the band on Swiss TV.

Also, on May 18, 2010, Kill Rock Stars will be re-releasing Liliput as a four LP set! KRS originally released the record as a double CD back in 2001.

It's a shame there's no film for "You" and "Eisiger Wind", for me their best two tracks.

Definitely one of my favorite bands that Other Music hipped me to back in the day. And still sounds great right now.

I can still kind of remember reading in a fanzine that I needed to get their compilation (the CD one that came out in the 90s?) and that the only way to do it was to mail-order from Switzerland I guess. Which I did. It's funny to think about that sort of thing happening. I remember learning ahead of time about the KRS reissue, putting my old CD on eBay (it was then going for pretty big $) and then having an attack of conscience and mentioning the upcoming reissue. It still sold for three figures.

I always liked the first CD in the compilation better, and didn't give enough attention to the second.

Listened to the "Live Recordings" for the first time since it came out, same really great stuff there. There's a hidden track at the end of track 24, anyone know its name?

listening to the 2CD thing and i'm kinda wondering why kill rock stars can't keep it in print? but maybe CDs don't matter any more. you can buy a download for 9 dollars from KRS. maybe that's good enough. i guess. just seems like something that should always be available but i get that physical availability doesn't matter as much now.

100 dollar Mississippi vinyl box does NOT count. punk's the people's music so you can stuff your ideas of class.

I guess that a re-press of that 2cd set would sell slower than when it was issued the first time. So glad I got one back in the.

A bit like all those Captain OK sets that sold out and are huge prices on Discogs.
