New Joe Jackson "Awkward Age"

Apparently he's gotten the band back together, and the first single at least sounds mighty fine! It's fast and punchy, and the phrase "Awkward Age" just sounds so right.

Teeny,
I went to see the reformed Joe Jackson Band at Bristol's excellent Fleece and Firkin venue during the latter half of last year. It was their first gig together in 20 years - and they were absolutely brilliant. The new material is easily as good, if not better, than the old stuff.
It's high time Jackson was recognised for his immense songwriting skills - he's right up there with the Lennons/Diffords/Partridges of this world.....
Anyway, if you get the chance, go see them when/if they play - one of the best gigs I've seen in ages.
Kudos to Alison Moyet, too, who named 'It's Different for Girls' as her all time favourite record on the radio recently. Good choice.

three weeks pass...
Revive. I'm enjoying this single more than anything else lately. The rest of the album is worth a listen too.
