They got mentioned on the 'sort out record collection' thread. I thought Fourfold Remedy was fantastic (but then I love Split-era Lush and it was quite close to that kind of sound). Live they were especially wonderful, doing a full-on wig-out version of, erm, 'Someone's Waiting' (I can't remember the name and don't have the CD with me to check...I wish I did now). They just seemed to dissapear...

Two posts in less than 24 hours after none in about eight months. bugger. I'm *meant* to be revising my ass off here...

they turned into The Action Time and Kicker, as far as I know, both of whom are ace.

"Get yourself together" and "Spoiled children" were great tunes.

seven years pass...

(but then I love Split-era Lush and it was quite close to that kind of sound).

yeah, i've always thought this album worked great as a kind of "alternate dimension" post-Split Lush album... anyway, it sure ameliorated Lush withdrawal back in '98.

i never tracked down the EPs, but I am way intrigued to hear their cover of Paris Angels' "Perfume"

it is lovely, the other b-side 'strip polka' is also great, and the EP version of spoiled children >>> the album version

'slow dancing angels' from the reborn single is one of their best moments, if not their best - that it was not on the album is completely ridic

Always found it weird that they were spoofed on Smack the Pony:
