Anyone know where the best P2P is to actually download some Dave matthews Band or even bootlegs as supposedly they're much better live?
Or is he another 'metallica' who is against downloading?

Dave Matthews loves it when his fans download. It helps him out more than anything. It helps new people become fans without having to buy the album, which will ultimately lead them to their concerts, and soon enough buying albums.
However, he doesn't like it when people tape his performances and sell it as either imports or bootlegs to eager fans willing to spend 50 bucks for it.
Definitely check out their live stuff.

Here is what AMG says.
...Also in 1996, Matthews launched an attack on bootleggers in conjunction with the Federal Government, targeting stores that were selling semi-legal discs of live performances. The efforts of Matthews, his band, and his management resulted in an unprecedented crackdown on bootleggers in early 1997 — with nearly all of the major foreign bootlegging companies placed under arrest by the United States — thereby putting a moratorium on the entire underground industry.

So thats why Kiss This Stone went bust! Bastards!!!! That was the best bootleg company around.

So he doesn't like bootleggers, who could blame him?

four years pass...
He allows open-taping at shows, free-trading of bootlegs, so long as no one is making a profit. Anyone is allowed to tape a show, you just can't sell it for $50. The show bootlegs are free.
