first of all, i'm a long time lurker so let me say hi.

now let me get to my question. i'm in bit of a fix. i'm a little shy and i want to make a tape for a certain lady acquaintance. i'm not making the tape to show my 'true colors' but to maybe look at me in a different (non creepy) light. perhaps a little more sophisticated, intelligent and 'with it' than i really am. what songs should a first timer like me include? i want to avoid obvious love songs (or love songs all together if possible.) also i know she's a big fan of 'emo' music, but it's something i regard as absolute crap. so nothing sappy or 'heartfelt' either. and please no 'High Fidelity' references. thank you.

cant go wrong with short guitar interludes ala fahey..they have no words but the titles sometimes say alot.
