Lovely slurred use of fucking. I hope Thom was bearded while singing this, Melissa. (this is fine if it's one thread per day rather one thread every 24 hours, right?)

Thom was indeed bearded while he sang it. During the second half of this song, when it lost its swagger, Thom would get really into it, contorting with every word he sang. "You let the people down," etc.

However, that said, this is one of my least favorite of the new songs. The first half is so blandly trying to capture some sort of an "energy" that it forgets all other interesting elements of a song. The second half is better because it is so desperate sounding and the keyboards are nice, but I really can't say that this is a very good song all around.
