Has anyone heard the Antipop vs. Matthew Shipp record?

And is it good? It sounds like fun but has the potential for disaster.

I like Shipp more than Antipop btw.

this sounds like much more than a potential disaster (then again, when that shjack record was announced a couple years ago, i merely assumed they were going to applique free jazz overtop of gently bustling breakbeats, so maybe not)

it's not a diaster, but it's not a triumph either. mostly it's a very boring Shipp record with some annoying APC raps over it occasionally. their individual albums are way, way better

(actually I specifically mean Arrythmia and Nu-Bop are better)

one year passes...
Hrm, well, I enjoyed this quite a bit. I've never liked Antipop before (Saw them twice and they did zero for me; thought High Priest was the worst thing about Optometry). But I think their synthwork and processing/mixing of the piano and other sounds were really effective on this. And I actually thought the rapping worked given the context. And, especially when he was raging in the latter part, I certainly didn't think Shipp was "very boring". It's possible that this may get a tad too busy at bits.
