vinyl - 'viva la felicita' (signor rossi theme tune) by franco godi
a hunt currently in it's 3rd year

I've got the entire "Signor Rossi" OST by the Franco Godi Ensemble on CD, it's possibly the best album in my collection.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 24 February 2003 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I just want a recording of borbetomagus' 'Zurich'. just a tape. we can trade.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 24 February 2003 16:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 24 February 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmm maybe some Spontaneous Music Ensemble? Something besides Biosystem or Birds of a Feather, I've got those. Or something you really really like that I don't already have.

hstencil, Monday, 24 February 2003 16:48 (twenty-two years ago)

OK. I'm at work right now. I'll send a list to yr email account of some improv stuff tomorrow.

geoff, Monday, 24 February 2003 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

is it really worth waitng for amm vinyl, o rabid collector?

zemko (bob), Monday, 24 February 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

the cds are surely more 'in the spirit'

zemko (bob), Monday, 24 February 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

you're such a rockist zemko.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 24 February 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

i would like the radio crew's 'breaking and entering' ep on rainbow tv. that would be lovely.

zemko (bob), Monday, 24 February 2003 19:25 (twenty-two years ago)

hahaha, I deleted The Crypt from that list 'cause I have the CD. At this point, the CDs are so expensive when I do see them, it's prolly worth just buying the over-priced vinyl.

hstencil, Monday, 24 February 2003 19:26 (twenty-two years ago)

if anyone out there bought my collection of hardcore/jungle 12"s from me circa 1998, i'd really like them back now

jess (dubplatestyle), Monday, 24 February 2003 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Not to mention all the bonus material on the cds.

Personally, been looking forever for a copy of Ornette's "Man on the Moon" / "Growing Up" 45 on Impulse, Leo Kottke's 1st one, Jaap Blonk's Ursonate, Takayanagi's Independence, and AC/DC's "Dog Eat Dog" / "Carry Me Home" Australian 45.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Monday, 24 February 2003 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

you're such a rockist, zemko

b-b-but... AAAAAARGH!!

zemko (bob), Monday, 24 February 2003 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Mr. Diamond: Jaap Blonk's rendition of Ursonate can be found in mp3 format here.

James Annett (jlannett), Monday, 24 February 2003 20:06 (twenty-two years ago)

St. Werner/FX Randomiz 'Slow' on Gefriem. Sonig unearthed three copies of this long-gone CD last week. i was fourth in line. wah! anyone? happy to trade...

summerslastsound (summerslastsound), Monday, 24 February 2003 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I could seriously SERIOUSLY do with a copy of Ivor Cutler's _Prince Ivor_. And the _Ici/La Bas_ "compilation" 12".

Douglas (Douglas), Monday, 24 February 2003 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow, cool beans - thanks for that link James! I'm download it now. Though, I'm not sure if this was the exact recording I had been searching for. It says 1998, but he definitely released an lp of it back in 1986 on Bvhaast. It had to be deleted for some reason (objections from Schwitters' family?). Anyway, I've just wanted to hear him perform it, so this is great.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Monday, 24 February 2003 22:46 (twenty-two years ago)

thirteen years pass...

Went looking and could not find my CD of Laughing Hyena's "Life of Crime" which also has "You Can't Pray a Lie" on the disc and it's nowhere to be found. Kind of surprised to find out that this CD is going for some crazy cash now used. Yikes.

earlnash, Saturday, 26 November 2016 23:27 (eight years ago)

yecta plus band - 7" single from 1971 (note: this may not actually exist)

by the way i just checked out that clifford thornton lp mentioned upthread and it's some seriously good shit

xiphoid beetlebum (rushomancy), Sunday, 27 November 2016 00:29 (eight years ago)

Kind of surprised to find out that this CD is going for some crazy cash now used

if this is wrt the Amazon price it will have almost certainly been calculated by an algorithm, no-one would actually pay that. recent sales on Discogs are much more reasonable
