I think, with Eric's, they referred to Eric Ratcliffe's (producer) home. They were upstairs at Eric Ratcliffe's.
Ratcliffe (a later member of The Assembly, who did also work with Depeche Mode and produce Yazoo's "You And Me Both") engineered that album. Even his mum is credited for having provided her voice for the weird "I Before E Except After C"
