Both of these songs are among my very favorites from their resp. bands. And as searing and vital as "Hate" is, I go with us-against-the-world romaticism of "Love".

I'll vote for "Hate My Way," if only because it'd be so easily my Muses OPO, and with the Furs I would be satisfied with numerous other songs if I couldn't have "Love My Way."

Especially not a shitty Teardrop Explodes wannabe covers band. Ugh! Psychedelic Furs, feck off!

Leave it to ILM to cause me such awkward embarassment. Brilliant pairing of song titles, to be sure.

Um, "Love My Way" was a superb bit of icy 80's radio fare BUT "Hate My Way" is a highlight of one US indie's better long-players!
Ms Hirsh lamenting the boy "tangled in his bike forever" and "asking [her]self again, how do they kill children? And why do I want to die?" makes me want to vomit. In a good way.

How come there's no retro-sounding post-punk alternative band that's uh, emulating the Psychedelic Furs? We've got Joy Division, Gang of Four, more Cure than I care to mention, Duran Duran, PIL, Echo and the Bunnymen, but no P Furs soundalikes. And they have arguably more good songs than all of those bands...certainly the best greatest hits album.

The Rapture covered "Dumb Waiters" on a single -- seen 'em do it live.

But "Talk Talk Talk" and "Forever Now" still get played plenty at my house.
Yeah, I agree they've compiled one hell of a greatest-hits album.

I keep waiting for Interpol to break into "We Love You."
