is there a modern philosophy (or maybe even formal logic?) term to explain the wrongness of the first one?

the first example that comes to mind is Ally's wet-t-shirt carwash to benefit breast cancer research (sorry, Ally) i.e. when the formal properties of a concept or word or action either contradict or undermine the thrust of the argument it's supposed to be making
