One of the best live acts I've ever seen, but peripheral and now defunct. Anyone?

by "awesome" you must mean "spastic" and "non-musical". why make records if they share no common ground with your live show?

Because that's punk rock, man.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 3 March 2003 04:46 (twenty-three years ago)

This band hasn't provided anything of value since "Vanishing Point" anyway...

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Monday, 3 March 2003 13:57 (twenty-three years ago)

I liked 'em. But then again, it's probably because I've never seen a thread relating to them on ILM.

The Steve Albini produced album has its moments, but I haven't listened to it ina few months. The collaboration with Quintron and Miss Pussycat is decent and has some cool Drum Buddy parts in older XBXRX songs.

i really dig xbxrx. they've got their approach right in my opinion. they've had a bunch of spinoff bands... kit, snowsuit, da hawnay troof, etc...

they are going to be playing a show soon in san fran with deerhoof, california lightning (pre-erase errata band), and the numbers.

m. neglected to mention that like 1/2 the band lives in oakland/sf now as part of the noise influx 2002.

Gygax, that looks like I-5 on the way down the San Diego near San Onofre... that "Caution" sign looks VERY familiar

Fuck San Diego vs. Providence. SFBA vs. Providence!

Jon Williams (ex machina), Monday, 3 March 2003 20:31 (twenty-three years ago)

i just wanted a shot of the "family crossing" sign with little else but that's all i could get off google in 10 seconds.

JONATHAN WILLIAMS:
