The only overlap with my top ten is Wilco. That's probably why that album got voted #1 at pazz&jopp. It is the lowest common denominator...

The Beck and Flaming Lips ones are also in most end-of-year surveys, while Coldplay and Doves are at least in most British end-of-year survyes.

2002 was a good fucking year!

2002 was still probably the best music year of the entire 00s. At least if you go by actual music that was released that year and not look to much at the mainstream.
