I mean, they're basically the same song. But which has the edge?

PP Arnold's was the first version of the latter, no?

vs. "the first cut is the deepest" vs. "every little bit hurts"

I had a friend from grade school who used to go into fits of inexplicable apoplexy whenever he heard Juice Newton. He claimed it was tantamount to be persecuted by a spectre with flaming hair with arrows for fingers, who'd jab him mercilessly whenever Juice sang. Between "Angel of the Morning" and "Playin' With the Queen of Hearts," he'd have quite a tough time. An odd gent, yes.

"Everything I Own"....despite being a Bread tune...is a nice track, especially when covered by other people (didn't Boy George do it?)

Both have their points.

now "Everything I Own" vs. Shaggy's "Angel." THAT'd be a dilemma.

Queen of Hearts by a long shot!

"everything i own" and "angel of the morning" are basically the same song? hmm, i always thought "everything i own" and "rocker blues" were the same song....

"Everything I Own". 'Cause Shaggy hasn't gone anywhere near it.

four months pass...
Angel is the much better tune by a long shot. Could anyone tell me who it was who performed the version that got all the american airplay in the late 60's/ early 70's? Could someone PLEASE answer this for me- that is how I got here!
And how about this. Luchenbach, Texas vs. Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues. Believe it or not but there is yet another country song that is nearly the same, but I cannot recall... Snappy

It was Merilee Rush, Steven/Snappy. I don't know the answer to the 2nd question.
