REQUIEM FOR A DREAM (THC versh)

I was supposed to look for that goddamn job today, but...well since I haven't shaved or changed clothes (or even removed them) for like a week now, I thought 'no point looking for work looking and smelling like a Phish concert' but when I went to run a bath I noticed that I had forgotten to turn on the fuckin' hot water, so no bath, but I thought I'd better change my socks anyway (how difficult can that be, they're all black) but there's so much shit all over the house that everything's become stuck together like that Unified Molecule Astro-Intelligence Field that I wrote three pages on last night before it realised it was an incoherent waste of time, so when I grabbed the sock it managed to upset everything that was stuck to it, like that slapstick gag where someone demonstrates the 'pulling out the tablecloth' trick & it goes horribly wrong, so at this point I can't see anything because the air is filled with a floating mist of suspended particles consisting of cake crumbs and stale cigarette ash and instant coffee powder (from pouring it straight out of the jar into a cup that, like, WASN'T THERE, and normally I'd just sweep it onto the floor but where's the floor gone?)and when all that settles I notice I STILL can't see anything because the room is filled with smoke because I stupidly forgot to turn off the oven (in fact I now recall that I originally forgot to put anything IN it) so now I have to open the windows but there's some sticky shit all over them so they won't open. I am now going to look for my keys, "I may be gone for some time..."

Dave q,
You need a system to organise your things. Basically everything must have its own place. Even if all you do is get 10 empty cardboard boxes and write on the side SOCKS, SHOES, STUFFED TOYS etc.
This will make your daily organisation painless and hassle free.
You should find you feel better able to cope after a short time and will find yourself encouraged to tackle other tasks which you have probably been neglecting.
This is the cause of the chronic low level feeling of panic you are experiencing.
It amazing the difference a day makes.
