Just heard Big 'N' Bashy.

2003 is now The Best Year For Singles In The History Of The World. Ever. Every single other than this could be a Fatboy Slim remix of Dancing In The Moonlight, and it would still be the case, simply because of the existence of this record.

The DJ Die remix is also rather skill.

d-d-d-drum n' bass revival?!

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 23:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Believe.

I believe even though the last time you were this enthusiastic it was about the Delgados.

Tom (Groke), Thursday, 20 March 2003 00:46 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd like to say William's e-mail to me on this subject is possibly the most enthusiastic e-mail I've ever received that wasn't concerning the Atkins diet/penis enlargement.

If this isn't a hit single... man, humanity's just sick in the head, and should be put out of its misery forthwith.

I believe even though the last time you were this enthusiastic it was about the Delgados.

And you know what? I'm dead on the money again.

one month passes...
And it's just been released, and if you haven't bought a copy of it you hold no real use to humanity.

The DJ Narrows remix is absolutely brilliant, even if it disregards pretty much all of the vocal.

Are the original and the remixes all on one 12"?

nebbesh (nebbesh), Monday, 12 May 2003 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

According to Amazon, there is no 12" (or at least not one that they're selling). The original and the two named remixes are available on this version of the single: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009300B/ref=sr_aps_music_1_1/026-5145161-2660449

still baffled by the particular passwygartino love of this guy... 'groundbreaker' was pretty good but nowhere near all the now-i've-found-a-way-to-vaguely-namecheck-garage-kinda overhype. 'jacking for beats' and 'stopclock' were way dismal

Chip Morningstar (bob), Monday, 12 May 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

The bass, man. The bass.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:00 (twenty-two years ago)

You seriously expect Amazon to sell vinyl?

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I seriously expect Amazon to recommend The Pretenders to people who buy a copy of "Big N Bashy". (It does, btw)

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 12 May 2003 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I bought this yesterday. It's terrific. A strong week for singles, I think, with Sean Paul, Clipse and Girls Aloud.

And nebbesh - yes they are, in HMV Croydon in any case.
