And it is brilliant that you're protesting against the war, I'm going tomorrow. Keep it up.

i was pretty much just taking pictures. i was following a break away faction of gutter punks all dressed in black and wearing black bandanas over their faces. the tactic for most of the day all through the city was to block traffic, block the bridges and pretty much try and shut down the city. usually when the cops would show up in full riot gear, they'd tell us to get on the sidewalk or we'd be arrested.

this time we were walking up a street and at one end of the block cops rushed, we all turned and ran, but the cops were also rushing us from the other side of the street. people were tripping all over each other (i grabbed a kid by the neck 1/2 a second before he hit the ground and picked him up). the cops pretty much forced us into a big ball of panic. people were unable to breath. i was on the very outside of this ball and kids were getting hit left and right w/billy clubs. there were even some random people who were just walking up the street (homeless dudes, 60year old lady who was scared out of her wits, little asian kids who lived near by) and the cops wouldn't let them leave. we were trapped.

so there's about 2-300 kids sitting in the street for about 2-3hours while we get arrested one by one. i finally get put on a bus (they had to use the MUNI busses because they ran out of paddy wagons). we had to sit on the bus for 2-3 hours hands cuffed behind our backs. the whole time i'm in missery because i drank a whole soda before this and my bladder was bursting.

we finally got taken to a big warehouse in one of the piers and had to wait around for another few hours. luckily i finally got to go to the bathroom.

we got cited, have to appear in court and were let go. this all started around 1pm. i got let go around 9.

You don't have a press card or credentials, do you?
