Jaz Coleman on behalf of Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 24 March 2003 19:02 (twenty-two years ago)

An obnoxious ILM poster top ten without myself, Alex in NYC, or Geir Hongro = can't possibly be real = terrorist propaghanda.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 24 March 2003 19:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought for sure I'd be on there. It's politics is what it is!

David Allen, Monday, 24 March 2003 19:04 (twenty-two years ago)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 24 March 2003 19:07 (twenty-two years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 24 March 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Yet another ILxer list that completely passes me over. Je n'existe pas, dammit!

Nate Patrin (Nate Patrin), Monday, 24 March 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

How is Geir obnoxious? He's unfailingly polite and refuses to rise to be riled by comments against him.

Unless Booze means that his opinions or taste is obnoxious, that I could understand.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Monday, 24 March 2003 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 24 March 2003 20:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Clearly my distasteful rape music thread gives me a BUMP!

Jon Williams (ex machina), Monday, 24 March 2003 20:28 (twenty-two years ago)

it should probably give you something a lot harsher than that, but we'll let it slide

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 24 March 2003 20:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't support rape in any way

and especially not by listening to Dave Matthews Band!

That thread will get the best googlers.... you know it will...

Jon Williams (ex machina), Monday, 24 March 2003 20:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 21:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 21:49 (twenty-two years ago)

There's a Croydon in Philadelphia?

Does it have a tram system?

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 22:02 (twenty-two years ago)

am i the only one that pictures custos at his pc in full gwar body armor and eating taco bell whenever i read his posts?
If only I could < EMBED > a self portrait, you would see how true that is.

There's a Croydon in Philadelphia?
Kinda. It's a small town near Philly. I've heard the British Croydon is a bit scruffy, but Croydon, Pennsylvania is a dee-yoo-emm-pee dump. Levittown, as low class as it is, is upper crust in comparison. Cousin Ralphie is one of my 'poor' relatives. (The reason he hasn't posted in awhile is that his PC got repo'd after he lost his job.)

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Tuesday, 25 March 2003 23:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmm.

How many shopping centres does it have? Do any of them have novelty dinosaur themed elevators (Jurassic Park was very big when this one was built)? Any branches of Marks & Spencer?

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 00:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Nope. Croydon don't have jack shit. It only has a hardware store, a bar, a bowling alley, a Sunoco station, a laundromat and a graveyard. All of them shabby.

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 00:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Damm i think I uninstalled Neotrace or whatever it was I had on my computer years ago.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 00:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Tssk. Bet the bowling doesn't even have Quasar tacked onto the side.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I have relatives in Croydon (though I haven't been there in like 10 years) -- Custos speaks the truth about it. (I also lived in Levittown until I was 2, but I don't have any memories of it.)

Chris P (Chris P), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 00:45 (twenty-two years ago)

(I'm still waiting around for the "Most Mediocre ILM Poster" thread)

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 00:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, presumably the residents of Croydon, PA's reaction to seeing a Starbucks in their town would be the same as mine when I first saw the one in my Croydon, i.e. "Shit, are we going up in the world or what?"

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 00:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Isn't Croydon between Philadelphia and Marcus Hook? I think I accidentally got off at that stop once. Maybe I'm thinking of Crumlyn (sp?).

Rockist Scientist, Wednesday, 26 March 2003 01:30 (twenty-two years ago)

this thread is morphing into the banal conversation thread.

Greetings, fellow Pennsylvanian!

Lord Custos Epsilon (Lord Custos Epsilon), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 03:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I left Pennsylvania when I was about 10; it still find it weird to remember that, technically, I'm a Pennsylvanian. New Yorker, sure; Oregonian, sure; Pennsylvanian? Well I guess so...

this thread is morphing into the banal conversation thread.

See? Even the worst threads can turn great!

Chris P (Chris P), Wednesday, 26 March 2003 05:31 (twenty-two years ago)

not read the whole thread, as i was too shocked/numbed by the inclusion of :

8. ned raggett

the mind boggles if anyone can ever find the ever polite ned "obnoxious"

mark e, Thursday, 17 January 2008 10:08 (seventeen years ago)

the OP is probably a belle & sebastian fan.

The Brainwasher, Thursday, 17 January 2008 10:10 (seventeen years ago)

oh yeah .. i forgot, but you see i'm with him on that whole groove, hence i aint seeing it as obnoxious, but a simple case of telling it like it is.

mark e, Thursday, 17 January 2008 10:15 (seventeen years ago)

To be fair Ned did shiv that one guy for slagging off the last Slowdive album.

Noodle Vague, Thursday, 17 January 2008 10:30 (seventeen years ago)

Ioannis, Thursday, 17 January 2008 10:44 (seventeen years ago)

There was that whole "calling for a pogrom on Sigur Ros fans" incident too.

Noodle Vague, Thursday, 17 January 2008 10:47 (seventeen years ago)

But that's justifiable under any and all circumstances surely.

Ioannis, Thursday, 17 January 2008 10:49 (seventeen years ago)

Are feminists manly or feminly? I don't understand.

Also, would manly woman have big breasts or small breasts?

These questions keep me up at night.
