I remember them, Testament on the radio about 1988, nothing special - average competent trash metal.
Tell your young metal friend to check out Voivod: Dimension Hatross for an album of astonishing crushing dynamic heavy twisting futuristic metal music. Released in 1988 this album is a classic.
On a related note around 1988 Megadeth covered a Sex Pistols track and that dumb ass Mustaine got the lyrics wrong.

And yes, the Megadeth cover of "Anarchy in the UK" is lamentably embarassing...almost as bad as Motley Crue's.
Isn't the Megadeth version the one where Dave Mustaine misheard "council tenancies" as "cunt-like tendencies" = CLASSIC

Testament's first three releases were pretty fantastic and the first two are considered classics in many circles (including mine)!
