I don't care for list threads and generally don't contribute to them. But my 2 cents: "Elephant" is fine.

The only Stripes' song I've heard and enjoyed was "You're Pretty Good Looking." The rest have bored me endlessly, or I've found them outright irritating (awful vocals, awful drumming.)

*We are going to be Friends
*You've got her in your pocket
*Seven Nation Army

I'm not gonna make a list, but I must say that, although I hated it at first, nowadays one of my fav White Stripes songs is "I Think I Smell a Rat". So dirty and tweaked and paranoid.

that one grew on me too, nick!

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Wednesday, 2 April 2003 13:31 (twenty-one years ago) link

1. "Fell In Love with a Girl"
2. "Let's Build a Home"
3. "Death Letter"
4. "Hello Operator"
5. "Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine"

....and a special mention to "Seven Nation Army"

"This Protector"

"Handsprings", the weird spoken-word one about losing your girl to another in a bowling alley. Thank you, kazaa!
"Fell In Love With A Girl"
"You're Pretty Good Looking"
"Lord, Send Me An Angel"
"Ball And Biscuit" off the new one. I love a good electric blues cliche.
