But somewhere in between?

I can't find any mention of Logh (ne Log) on ILM. Theye've got a new album out nowish "Every Time a Bell Rings, an Angel gets its Wings" which is a line from the film "It's a Wonderful Life".

What does everyone think?

Also, they used to be called Log but were forced to change their name. Why?

BECAUSE THERE WAS ALREADY A BAND CALLED LOG.

YELLOW LIGHTS MEAN SLOW DOWN NOT SPEED UP.

Because Log is an absolutely appalling name for a band, I would like to think. (Logh being so much better, obviously.) I quite like that Every Time... record. It had Godspeed! bits in but inserted into structures which make me think of Shipping News, perhaps. It's not exactly a classic though, no.

Yeah the other band are in a category called 'Neo-Traditional Folk' according to AMG.

I guess I knew that answer but I wondered if there were any interesting details.

Log is a rubbish band name. It was after a character out of Twin Peaks I think who had a psychic log, which is an even worse idea for a character.

The album's kind of bits of lots of things and while I don't think it's great it's enjoyable enough if yr in the mood and it's the sort of thing I thought someone would be in love with.

Logh go along the same post-rock road frequented by Codeine, but stray down a dirt track occasionly for some seventies Pink Floyd blissfully blasting out from the diner jukeboxes.

There is volume, but not sure I would say Godspeed. Must check that out

two years pass...
Yes, clumsily named, but I really have enjoyed a lot their release this year, A Sunset Panorama. Hydra Head issued it in the U.S. and it seems to have dropped with barely a thud. But I think the record is getting short-changed. Just sayin'.
