has been recorded in a number of different versions but each that i've heard has either a children's chorus or a conspicuously young lead vioce on it...
on GB's Silence Of The Balkans album the soloist is Vaska Jankovska - backed by an orchestra, a doom-voiced male chorus and a battery of electronic beats. majestic, mournful ,captivating. blows my mind every time i hear it.
