Does anyone else out there think this is a super fantastic record?
it got little praise upon its release back in 90', but in my opinion, its one of the better rap/hiphop releases ever. I love how they use reggae riddims thru out. Now granted, KRS can get a little preachy at times, but his delivery is infectous as hell...just listen to the song Beef..crazy good fun.

I kinda thought he ran out of ideas by this time. Love the previous effort

When this album dropped I was unemployed in NYC and ran to get it day-of-release with the last money I had. Burned the hell up that whole summer, me and my girlfriend and her brother and two cats in one tiny studio apt. on W. 85th, air conditioner on high, lovin' that shit.

So even though it's massively dated and has some truly gruesome passages (guest spoken-word snippets, "the lie-bury, where they bury the lies"), I love that record, and KRS, and the whole idea that hip-hop can have some higher calling. But Edutainment hasn't aged too well overall.
