As an adjunct/amplification/parody of
This Thread, I wondered what there is in muso criticism besides "classicism", "modernism" and "postmodernism"....then I wondered what kind of debate could be generated if we invented new (phony-ass music crit) terms.
What interesting debates can we start while doing away with "modernism" and "post-modernism"; Below are several (Grant Morrison-esque) possible "forms". Hopefully, some smart-aleck muso-crit might find a legitimate use for them.
I ask for your definitions of the following terms:
Hyper-Modernism
Pre-Modernism
Sub-Classicism
Anti-Dada
Infra-Revisionist.
(Note: I didn't know whether to put this under "Critics Corner" or "Only Connect", so I put it under "Very Bonkers")

Hyper-Modernism: a state of art approaching the present moment, but still not quite there, only a few milliseconds, a few nanoseconds off, but even that span being smashed and compacted into tense little fragments pressed up against Now and its perpetual sequels by the force of an infinite history against the sombering, abstract cliff that is "reality." E.g., Eminem.
Pre-Modernism: of, under, at, or relating to the limited instances of our past, but before the more relatively immediate ones, recorded by whatever means of artistic expression our species or any vestigial subspecies may have constructed using the crudest or most revertable impressionistic/expressionistic methods of reflecting life's origin itself. E.g., Aerosmith.
Sub-Classicism: ahistorical musical components comprised of the foundations that, in or of themselves, attempt to provide a base for statements or arguments formed under what can only be thought of as a pre-igneous bedrock for what may or may not later become a volcanic eruption of coherent thoughts, ideas, or feelings classifyable as important by any objective critic. E.g., Gary Numan.
Anti-Dada: a form of art wholly ignorant of art, but simultaneously aware of itself to a point of unconsciousness, or the template for which begs to enforce its own rules, to pay its own debts, to construct its name on a continually expanding horizon, only to eventually void it all by placing it against a perpendicular plane. E.g., Jimmy Eat World.
Infra-Revisionist: one or more individual points of an analytical expression that attempts to perform internal calibrations and/or "revisions" to the broader, more actual operative factions, suggestive of time, varying dimensions, Earl Gray, meditation, Dee Snyder riding Bob Seger piggyback, a pro-am golf tournament in the Phillippines, a rusted-over marksmanship trophy from the 1944 Kentucky Games, or the graph depicting mid-Atlantic deflation rates from a set of Titanic lifeboats. E.g., T.A.T.U.

Subthread: Metasurrealism does not make enough use of realities nonlinear, acausal and relativistic nature
