i've no idea why i called it "zelic" but, y'know, whatever.

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Monday, 7 April 2003 10:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Ratatatat is a much better name! Not that Zelic's bad.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 7 April 2003 11:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I might do this, been thinking about it. Any tips?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 7 April 2003 11:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I like it, Kilian. I use "soulless" as a negative term a lot, but you have a point.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 7 April 2003 11:16 (twenty-two years ago)

go to www.blogger.com. it's easy to set one up, but i don't know much about putting in features and stuff. i'd love to have that thing where visitors can put in their own comments. Is there a way of knowing how many visitors you've had too?

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Monday, 7 April 2003 11:18 (twenty-two years ago)

thanks! i'll write some more soon...

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Monday, 7 April 2003 11:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuck around with the html lots, especially if you don't know what you're doing! Don't worry aboput trying to only post 'quality' stuff, post anything, it's all you. Just write, I reckon. blogger.com is VERY easy to use. Listen to me, who's only actually put stuff up over the weekend!

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 7 April 2003 11:28 (twenty-two years ago)

nice name for the blog kilian. good luck with it.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 7 April 2003 12:03 (twenty-two years ago)

kilian, for comments you can use yaccs. sitemeter is useful for visitor stats including referrers etc. what you write about emotion in music is interesting.

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Monday, 7 April 2003 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

i deleted mine (and my website) and started a new one (at blogspot).

nathalie (nathalie), Monday, 7 April 2003 12:24 (twenty-two years ago)

no turning back now Kilian!

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 7 April 2003 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Well now.

Killian, i'm always an Irish 20year old Journalism student. Good christ. I'm doing the MA at NUIG. But the co-incidence doesnt end there.

Not a blog as such but utilising blog technology for my own bitter and cynical ends.

Good christ.

BrianRamone, Monday, 7 April 2003 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

BrianRamone, Monday, 7 April 2003 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

BrianRamone, Monday, 7 April 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 7 April 2003 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I was Irish.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 7 April 2003 12:57 (twenty-two years ago)

While I'm here, let me put in a plug for my LiveJournal at http://www.livejournal.com/users/greenleafy/
It is scheduled to be updated approximatly once an ice age.

I've got 6+ experience dicking around with HTML, if you need any help feel free to drop me a line, I won't charge. :)

Alexis (Alexis), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh and hey people! Diaryland.com is set up for blogs and/or diaries, I'd recommend that over Livejournal (sloooow) or BlogSpot (ads, ugh!) Diaryland only has ads in the members area, no popups or anything, and IMHO it's a lot less confusing.

Alexis (Alexis), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Plus http://beautify.diaryland.com is a directory of free web designers for Diaryland users, there are thousands of great templates there (I used to have 100+ listed, but my domain expired and I didn't have PHP access anymore)

Alexis (Alexis), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

gaz (gaz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 09:42 (twenty-two years ago)

the blog will show up in google, kilian. but google has to find this page and then follow the link you posted to your blog. for google to find the blog it will take a week or so i'd guess. if you are unlucky it will be a month. depending on when the last google dance (big update) is.

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 09:50 (twenty-two years ago)

thanks alex

while we're doing this In Review has another of its super-sporadic updates. Warning: this one is probably close to as unreadable as Josh Blog's more arcane philosophy stuff.
