my wilderness years, where for certain reasons i was more excited by other musics. where for certain reasons i couldn't necessarily investigate the genre in what i now think may be a priod of possibility.

So these really were, by and large, dark years huh? Was thinking about this b/c I've always attributed Whitney Houston's music problems not to anything lacking in her own voice but to the relative decline of R&B producing and songwriter in the years she was in the spotlight. Some lovely tracks off the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack notwithstanding, yes indeed.
