why oh why do scumbags make such great singles?

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:09 (twenty-two years ago)

and the original was such shit!

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:11 (twenty-two years ago)

but the remix!

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:17 (twenty-two years ago)

yes!

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

You think "Ignition" is a great single? It just seems like a flagrant exclamation of denial about the dire circumstances that surround the man like a school of angry sharks.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:20 (twenty-two years ago)

yes!

and remixed!

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

yay i put this on duane's tape right after another overtly scumbag song, i hope he likes it.

minna (minna), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

see that's what we're all doing in a cosmic sense, denying the various holes we've dug for ourselves in work, life, etc because it's the freekin' weekend and we're gonna have us some fun DO YOU SEE?

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I have, on occaision, muttered "so what, I'm drunk," but that doesn't forgive the man.

The whole "bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce" bit makes me want to kill everyone I know.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

can I get a "beep beep"?

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

beep beep.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

can I get a "toot toot?"

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

toot toot! I'm a tugboat!

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)

mama rollin' that body...

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I put this on a compilation for the car last month in a fit of.... foolishness. Damn, you can't imagine the amount of times I've almost crashed with shame: pulling up on the front-line, driving heavy IDM bods across town, giving my boss a lift or parked up in the wilderness. It seems everytime it comes on I'm suddenly so caught up in traffic that I can't even change track.

and all because of that 'fro' line and the mid chorus key-change. It's not worth it kids.

nick.K (nick.K), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I really wonder if I'll ever hear this track, or even find out who it's by

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:57 (twenty-two years ago)

it's by R Kelly, dude!

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:59 (twenty-two years ago)

don't do it andrew!

nick.K (nick.K), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 14:07 (twenty-two years ago)

hahahahaha I honestly don't think I will. The shame on this thread suddenly makes so much sense!

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 14:11 (twenty-two years ago)

oh shit! it's on again...

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

"you must be a football co-oach the way you got me playin the field"

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

(Nappy) R(oots) Kelly: it is wonderful.

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

You must be a football coach
The way you got me playin’ the field

Such a great couplet. The remix is great, but so was the original! (I especially love the remix preview in the first version...)

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 18:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Shit, I initially thought this was about Adam Beyer's Ignition.

Siegbran (eofor), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 18:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I get this song stuck in my head EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's not even funny anymore. I don't know why it's so good, it's so simple and light, almost insubstantial, and you're shaking your head "no" but I know you mean "yes."

Nick A. (Nick A.), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 18:56 (twenty-two years ago)

r is a hero

it's no 'feeling on yr booty' tho
