anyone have any opinion on the EP Wilco was going to release and decided to shelve? Why'd they shelf it anyway?

Whatever the reason, it's a step in the right direction. I can think of some other bands I wish would follow suit.

I thought the original idea was that it would be added as a bonus disc to the Australian YHF-release, is that also shelved? Seeing the tracklist, it would have been an interesting EP, imo. I know Magazina called Sunset from the YHF demos, a great song. Maybe the EP will leak someday...(as promo's were send out)

IIRC it was actually released as a bonus for their Aussie tour, but I don't know if it's still available here or not

That ep is on soulseek. It's nothing too special, I haven't given it any more than two listens for the time that I've had it.

They probably shelved it because it wasn't worth the money to put it out, they could find a use for the tracks elsewhere, and wanted to continue promotion the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album without any other distractions.

it's not great. I like Woodgrain a lot but it's way too short. It is on Soulseek, btw. Not bad at all, just not anywhere near the genius of YHF.

the Aussie 2xCD version is indeed now deleted but i'm sure if anyone was desperado about getting hold of one some nice Aussie could search for it..
