It's hard to pick one because they're two sides of the same coin. Current fascination with the Creatures aside, I think I'd still pick the Banshees in a pinch.

And their version of 'Right Now' is positively corset blowing.

Creatures = side dish. Banshees = entree. Siouxsie Sioux herself = dessert. The Glove = After dinner mint. Sisters of Mercy = Going down to the theatre and seeing "Kafka" Cocteau Twins = The make-out music when you get home.

The joy of hearing the Creatures's Bestiary comp with Feast and the Wild Things EP and "Right Now" and all that can't even be measured. Is Feast the best Martin Denny tribute that wasn't necessarily planned on being one ever?

Definitely rank as one of the best side bands of major rock bands ever. Maybe the best.

The Creatures' version started with a distinct introduction, with Siouxsie clicking her fingers to mark the tempo. She also added the "palala pam pam" that she sings before the arrival of the congas. These special arrangements were not present in the initial version by Mel Tormé; they were created by the Creatures.

And even more unknown are the fanclub singles. "Murdering Mouth", "Red Wrapping Paper", "Rocket Ship" - absolutely brilliant. Also must rep for Siouxsie's outstanding guest appearance on Basement Jaxx's "Cish Cash".
