What should I play on my radio show this Saturday?

It's on a college radio station. I've been so busy with school and work lately that I haven't had much time to put into it. Tell me what I should songs and by whom I should play. I'll try to find them online or in the radio station. Anything will do.

Rules:
-Give me only *one* track.
-The show is from 3-6pm, so it has to be FCC clean (no dirty words)
-I can't and won't play two songs from the same artist/band in one show, so if someone already beat you to it, too bad, try someone else please.
-No incredibly long jazz tracks or epics < 6 minutes long.

Thanks.

kenan: I won't be down there till like Wednesday night. I'll call this evening, okay?

cprek: Play something loud and in Spanish. I suggest some El Gran Silencio or Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, but if you can't find 'em even some early Los Lobos will do. Keep them college-kids honest.

Neudonym, Thursday, 10 April 2003 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

matt riedl (veal), Friday, 11 April 2003 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Doing this spells disaster in a college radio station that is slowly picked clean of good albums over the years by thieves. The random selection statistical sucktidude gets worse as time goes by.

I like all the suggestions so far though. Thanks.

cprek (cprek), Friday, 11 April 2003 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Play "When U Were Mine" as interpreted by Chaki. It's great.

paul cox (paul cox), Saturday, 12 April 2003 02:37 (twenty-two years ago)

When I did college radio and I couldn't think of stuff to play I just put on jazz sides. Technically it was a jazz show so I was supposed to be doing that, but I usually tended to play whatever I damn well wanted. I don't think I ever in my whole run there asked anyone for a suggestion, though, no matter how busy I was. It was a matter of pride and principle. (YMMV.)

matthew james (matthew james), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 21:36 (twenty-two years ago)

aww man, sorry i didn't see this thread was still active. i don't ever check on the weekends. i was only able to find five of the suggested tracks on short notice (drinking on friday == sleeping *very* late on Saturday), so I aborted until next week to give myself some more time.

So, thread's still open and I will post a playlist after the show next Saturday.

Once again, thanks for the suggestions.
