Okay, this is really, really, really, really bad, but there's this song on tv that I've JUST figured out where the sample is from and I want to tell the people I had a discussion about it with what it is but I just realized I have no idea what the song it. It's by some terrible Smash Mouth type band and the chorus says something about nothing mattering and it samples SET ADRIFT ON MEMORY BLISS!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy I figured it out - I KNEW it sounded like True by Spandau Ballet, but not quite, and now I know why, it's a sample of a sample, etc etc.
So, um, yeah, if you know what this song is could you please tell me? And hey, why not get into discussion of obvious yet not obvious samples that are driving you crazy so that I don't feel like I'm wasting everyone's time.
